Essay - Travel (DISCUSSION essay)

Some people say cheap air travel is good because it enables ordinary people to travel. While others argue that it is bad for environment. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Nowadays traveling by air is not as expensive as it was years ago. Currently even average people can travel by plains because of cheap airlines' offers. Nevertheless, environment can be hurt at the same time. I am going to prove that there are good and bad sides of cheap air traveling.

Undoubtedly, there are many major advantages of cheap flying. In 21st century using planes is as common as using cars in previous century because of low costs of such travel. People are able to often meet their family or friends even when the distance between them is more than 1000 km. Moreover they have a possibility to sightsee more in shorter period of time. Besides that, work migration is easier then before. This is the reason why so many Poles emigrated to the United Kingdom. Some of them can be at home in Poland even once a month just because of great cheap airline offers. In addition, traveling can expand your horizons.

Nevertheless, there are some disadvantages of cheap flies. Firstly, cheap and very popular flights can cause air pollution. It is proved that one plain while working produces many tons of carbohydrates which are dangerous for our environment. Besides that, people on holiday often devastate natural environment by accidental killing endangered species.

To sum up, I am inclined to believe that because of cheap air journeys more people can sightsee the world. On the second side of the stick in the Earth planet which should be more respected by humans. They should consider environmental pollution even before booking place in airplane.
