Essay – 250 words – 40 mins
Topic – GOVERNMENT
Should wealthy nations be required to share their wealth among poorer nations by providing such things as food and education? Or is it the responsibility of the governments of poorer nations to look after their citizens themselves?
For countless years there have been wealthy nations and poorer ones, which always needed some kind of help. Rich nations should not be forced to help poorer countries even though they could do so if they wanted to. Nevertheless, I am inclined to believe that the governments of poorer nations ought to be more responsible for their own people.
Undoubtedly, the wealthy nations possess resources and the know-how which they can share with the needy. For example, each year the European Union send tons of food to African countries in need. In addition, the richest nations from all over the world send African tribes their highly qualified teachers with educational tools like books and personal computers. Furthermore, a lot of countries send the poorest countries, money to support the local governments and the democracy in general.
Nevertheless, the governments of poorer countries should be responsible for their own citizens. For example, retired people should not be given money by other countries. This should be the duty of the local government. Additionally, new laws should be passed that are beneficial and equal to everyone because only such laws can help people. Besides that, the authorities should fight against bribery and corruption in public administrations.
To sum up, I think that richer countries definitely should help poorer nations to survive and teach them how to develop their own country to be more stable. The biggest responsibility for citizens always falls on the shoulders of the local governments, which must continually try to find ways to improve their people's lives.
